Urgent Care Midlevel Provider

Lassen Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for our Urgent Care Walk-In Clinic
Lassen Medical Group is the largest primary health group north of Sacramento, California. There are over 60,000 active patients, 30 plus healthcare providers, 135 employees, EMR, and state of the art radiology, laboratory, and laser services.
This position is responsible for the following
Performs accurate initial history and physical exam. Follows up with patients with multi-system health problems. Counsels/educates patients, promotes/delivers quality patient care in family practice setting.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
1. Performs accurate initial history and physical examinations. Appropriately documents in progress notes of patient records. Orders appropriate laboratory tests, X-rays, EKGs, and other comparable procedures. Demonstrates competency to assess age-specific needs of patients.
2 Reviews all lab work, etc., to assure follow up. Reviews history to adequately diagnose and treat patient.
3. Educates and counsels patients and family regarding matters of their physical and mental health including social habits, family planning, normal growth and development, and management of long-term medical problems.
4. Refers patients who need special treatment or procedures to appropriate physician, facility, emergency room or to community resources.
Reviews pharmacy renewals with approval/denial in timely manner.
6. Performs therapeutic procedures in accordance with Standardized Procedures/FNP/PA Protocols.
7. Communicates effectively to patient and family diagnoses, treatment plans, and followup needed.
8. Cooperates with Administrative Director in implementing planned changes and activities to improve patient care.
9. Maintains familiarity with State, Federal standards as they affect operation of the Clinic. Reviews and revises policies and procedures. Suggests and contributes to correction and additions as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
11. Performs procedures according to LMG policies and procedures as noted on skills checklist/competency.
Required Credentials
Family Nurse Practitioner (Nationally Accredited University) and National Certification of Family Nurse Practitioner
Physician Assistant Certificate (Nationally Accredited University) and National Certification of Physician Assistant

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
